Two wheeling in 2011

As some of you may recall, last year, our president Chris Serrano embarked on a personal challenge to see if he could pedal 100 miles through the streets of NYC.  Riding as a member of Team SocialWish, he was able to complete 82 of the 100 miles and decided immediately that he would definitely do it again in 2011.

Fast forward to 2011 and we decided to start our own team:  TEAM CEEMLESS AIR! We will be debuting our team jerseys for the first ride, showcasing the Ceemless Air colors and style.  Here is a lineup of 3 rides that we’ll be participating in throughout the New York area:

Sunday May 1st:   TD Bank Five Boro Bike Tour, a 42 mile ride through the streets of NYC.

Saturday, June 11thTour de Cure, a 100 mile ride through the East End of Long Island.

Sunday, September 18thNYC Century Tour, a 100 mile ride through the streets of NYC.

The TD Bank Five Boro Bike Tour and the NYC Century Tour are both biking awareness rides aimed at getting more people to go green  and not be afraid of using the hundreds of miles of bike paths throughout the city.  The Tour de Cure is  a fundraising ride organized by the American Diabetes Association geared towards raising much needed funds for research.

We’d also like to thank our sponsors:  SocialWish, Integrated Printing & Graphics and CCI, Inc. who, with the help of their support, will keep the team looking spiffy for these rides!

Ceemless Air Sponsors Team SocialWish in the NYC Century Tour

September 13, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

On September 12th, Transportation Alternatives (TA) held their annual NYC Century Tour to help make the streets safer for bikes and biking events.  The NYC Century Tour offers different levels of participation leading up to it’s namesake “The Century” (100 miles).  Internet startup, SocialWish, immediately recruited several riders to take part in the epic ride that takes place throughout 4 of the 5 boroughs of NYC (sans Staten Island).  Having a team in place, they then began to reach out for sponsorship and donations that would go toward TA to help fund their efforts toward making the streets a better place to ride.  Seeing the value of this great cause, Ceemless Air immediately jumped on board, and not only offered sponsorship, but their president also decided to join the team!  9 riders, 100 miles, 4 boroughs, 3 flats,  scrapes, bruises and tons of protein bars and pita’s later….and all riders are back and safe with stories of their journey.

Yet another winter storm slams the tri-state area forcing closures

February 26, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

The slow-moving winter storm is bad enough that Mayor Michael Bloomberg has decided to give New York City’s 1.1 million public school students their second snow day this month. Snow days are rare; this is the fourth one in the past six years.

In Manhattan, the snow total in Central Park reached 16.9 inches by 7 a.m. Northern suburbs could get a
two-day total of 16 inches of snow. It was even deeper upstate, in Orange County. Tuxedo has recorded over 26.2 inches, and Washingtonville 25 1/2 inches.

Another 3 to 6 inches of accumulation is possible before the snow tapers off into flurries by this afterno
on and AccuWeather says up to two more inches could fall overnight.

Continental Airlines and its regional partners cancelled about 270 flights at Newark Liberty — more than half its schedule there.  Delta Airlines also cancelled a number of flights out of John F. Kennedy International.

Driving conditions are so that we will have to cancel all local area pickups.  Out of area pickups will continue as planned.

Tri-State Area Pick Ups Cancelled Due To Snow Storm

February 10, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

A blizzard warning is in effect for New York City until 6 a.m. Thursday. The National Weather Service has also issued a blizzard warning for all but the northernmost part of New Jersey until midnight.  The storm could dump about 10 to 16 inches of snow on the metropolitan area and wind gusts of up to 40 mph are expected. The snow will pick up intensity throughout the day, lowering visibility and making travel extremely dangerous. The snow may mix with sleet in the morning but will otherwise be heavy at times throughout the day. AccuWeather says snowfall rates of one to two inches per hour are possible.

Due to the severity of the forecast coupled with the cancellations and delays at area airports, we will not be making any pick ups or deliveries in the tri-state area for Wednesday February 10th.  Normal operations will resume at 6am Thursday February 11th.  Please feel free to call for further information regarding the local closure.  If your materials are located outside the affected area, that work can proceed as normal.
